Indrajit is a globally recognized senior legal advisor and co-head of the Firm’s Transactional Practice, with over two decades of experience leading marquee M&A, structured debt, and cross-border investment transactions for top-tier clients.
Indrajit Mishra co-heads the Transactional Practice Team at the Firm’s Mumbai offices and specializes in general corporate commercial and transactional practice including, debt capital market, structured debt, venture debt, securitization, corporate restructuring, PE/VC and M&A transactions.
In his career spanning over 2 decades, he has extensively advised domestic and offshore clients on Indian legal & regulatory regime concerning inbound and outbound investments, setting up of subsidiaries, entering into strategizing alliances, joint ventures, acquisitions and collaborations. He has been regularly advising private equity and venture capital funds on deal structuring, conducting legal due diligence and drafting and negotiation of transaction documents. He has represented numerous clients on mergers & acquisition deals by assisting them particularly on structuring of investment vehicles, legal documentation and advising them on Indian legal and regulatory aspects including exchange control laws, government & regulatory policies, approvals and compliances. He has also been regularly advising non-banking finance companies, mutual funds, debt funds (including venture debt funds, stressed assets funds and real estate funds) with respect to their investments in plain vanilla debt and structured debt products. He had been quoted by international publications like Legal 500 and IFLR1000 as one of the leading lawyers in India in the transactional advisory and debt capital markets space. Prior to joining the Firm, he has worked in senior positions with reputed law firms in India.
He holds a graduate degree in commerce from Shri Chinai College of Commerce & Economics, Mumbai and a graduate degree in law from New Law College, Mumbai, both affiliated to the University of Mumbai. He is also a qualified Company Secretary.
