Amrita is a member of the Transactions Practice Team at the Firm’s Mumbai Office. As part of the Transactions Practice, she focuses on working with domestic and foreign clients on venture capital investments, private equity investments, and strategic mergers & acquisitions. She is also actively involved in advising founders across fund-raising rounds and shareholders in strategic divestments. In addition to this, her practice involves supporting promoters and senior management in navigating the complex Indian legal compliance and regulatory landscape. Amrita’s experience spans a wide spectrum of transactions—from minority investments and control deals to buyouts and exits, in a variety of sectors including IT-ITeS, manufacturing and FMCG—in which has lead legal due diligence exercises and handled investment documentation.

Prior to joining IC Regfin Legal, Amrita Ghosh spent five formative years at Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas, one of India’s premier law firms.

Amrita holds a BA.LLB (Hons.) in law from the West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences, graduating as the first rank holder in her batch and the recipient of the University Gold Medal for academic excellence.
