Praroop advises on formation, registration, and documentation of alternative investment funds, investment advisers, and portfolio managers, with expertise in fund structuring and India-focused offshore investment platforms.
Praroop is a member of the Funds, Asset Management and Regulatory team of the Firm,
assisting and advising clients on setting up of investment structures, both in India
and offshore.
Praroop has assisted various fund managers for entire lifecycle of the fund from setting-up
and registration of fund, raising capital, implementing carry structures, offering co-
investments, navigating regulatory actions, managing investor disputes to winding-up
of the fund. He has worked with funds across various strategies including private
equity, venture capital, fund-of-funds, Angel funds, real estate and debt, listed market
long-only and hedge funds.
Praroop has a vast experience in representing fund managers in fund structuring and
raising capital from variety of domestic and foreign LPs including multilateral
institutions, development finance institutions, sovereign backed funds, insurance
firms, university endowments, prominent family offices and fund-of-funds.
Praroop holds a B.B.A LL.B. (Hons.) from National Law University, Jodhpur.
