Twinkle is a partner and head of the GIFT City office, advising top fund managers on AIF formation, fundraising, and regulatory compliance. She specializes in offshore structuring and India-focused investment strategies.
Twinkle Dhamecha is a partner in the financial services team and heads the GIFT Gandhinagar office of RegFin Legal. Her key areas of expertise include advising fund managers on formation, registration and documentation pertaining to alternative investment funds, investment advisers, portfolio managers and mutual funds. She advises several leading investment funds (including private equity funds, hedge funds, venture capital funds, debt funds) on capital raising, assists GPs in negotiating LP documents and provides legal-regulatory advisory during the entire fund raising process. She also assists in structuring of the India focused offshore funds including set-up of funds in GIFT City and advises foreign investors in connection with Indian exchange control laws. She was recently featured in the 40 under 40 list for Alternative Investment Professionals.
Prior to joining RegFin Legal, Twinkle has worked with Ernst & Young, Vistra ITCL(India) Limited and has more than a decade’s experience in financial services legal-regulatory industry.
Twinkle holds a degree of Chartered Accountant (CA), LL.B. from Government Law College (Mumbai University) and graduated in Commerce from the Mumbai University with distinction.
